Gregory Leya, MD MBA

Greg is a surgical resident at Massachusetts General Hospital who received his undergraduate, medical, and business degrees from Harvard, although his sports allegiances are still rooted in Chicago. A lifelong competitive tennis player, he played for the club team in college and picked up distance running in medical school, now having competed in numerous marathons and qualified for the Boston Marathon. He has lived the Medicine in Motion ethos through and through by balancing his clinical schedule in residency with tennis, running, and skiing, and has coordinated running groups for his colleagues. With a background in healthcare and business, and management experience in operations and quality improvement, Greg is thrilled to contribute to the Medicine in Motion Executive Board.
