Phoenix Heart Walk (Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine)

Each year, Mayo Clinic participates in the American Heart Association Heart Walk (information pdf attached). There are several Mayo Clinic teams set up, and we are excited for the second year of medical student involvement! I've created a team "Students for Steps" and would love for you to join. If you sign up, events you can participate in include:

• Downloading the Heart walk app and participating in the Move More Challenge that starts 30 days before the walk.
• Fundraising for AHA (usually through social media by posting the link to your registered walker page)
• Participating virtually or in-person the day of the AHA walk in downtown Phoenix. This will be a 5k walk that takes place on Saturday March 25th at 8 am.

Additionally, Mayo will donate $25 to AHA for any Mayo employee (including students!) who register.

I highly encourage you to sign up for this team to show your support for heart health and to be a part of Mayo Clinic heart walk efforts. Registering is free and very low effort, and you can do as much or as little of the above activities as you would like; you can simply spend a nice Saturday morning walking with fellow classmates!
