Each year, Medicine in Motion selects a culminating athletic event, whose mission is to raise funds for a healthcare-based caused, for which all chapters of the organization come together to compete and raise funds. Money is raised for this event and its cause throughout the year through a variety of methods, including hosting specific fundraising events, participating in other athletic events which include fundraising components, and donations from those supporting our members and the selected cause.
In 2017, Medicine in Motion selected the Pan-Mass Challenge, which raises funds for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI), as the organization’s culminating event. The group raised over $30,000 in 2017 for the DFCI, and specifically the Zakim Center within the DFCI.
This year, Medicine in Motion has selected Bike to the Beach as the organization’s culminating event. Bike the the Beach is a bike ride from Boston, MA to Newport, RI on August 31st, 2018 and raises money for autism research and care. Thank you for considering donating to our group as we compete and raise funds for this great cause!
