Austin Stoner
Hello! My name is Austin Stoner and I am a third-year medical student at Stanford. I’m from Haddonfield, New Jersey and went to Yale University for undergrad where I studied Molecular, Cellular, & Developmental Biology and was a member of the Men’s Varsity Cross Country and Track & Field teams. Since transitioning out of collegiate sports, I have continued pursuing my passion for running by exploring the amazing trails in the Bay Area and spending way too much time on Strava. When reflecting on my athletic career, the thing I cherished the most was the camaraderie at practice and how good company can make something as difficult and mundane as running enjoyable. I am excited to bring that sentiment to Stanford as a leader of Medicine in Motion and cultivate friendship and teamwork around physical activity.
Dhamanpreet Kaur
Hey hey! My name is Dhamanpreet Kaur and I’m a third-year medical student at Stanford. I grew up in the incredible state of Washington and then went on to Boston to complete my undergrad in Math and Computational Biology at MIT. I ran cross country and track throughout high school and in my first year of college, before I decided to take up the glorious sport of rowing. I had the rare opportunity of finishing out my NCAA eligibility upon coming to Stanford for medical school, competing for the Varsity Lightweight Rowing team over the last two years. It’s been quite the collegiate career, but I am excited to return to my more recreational hobbies of running, road biking, and hiking! Some of my most unforgettable adventures have been bike-packing through the Alps, summitting Mount Whitney, hiking the Enchantments and racing a half-marathon :) I cannot wait for the epic memories to come as we foster a community of wellness here at Stanford Med!
