Louisiana State University School of Medicine
Taylor is a second-year medical student at LSUHSC School of Medicine in New Orleans. She is from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and graduated from Louisiana State University in 2017 with a B.S. in Biochemistry. She’s always had a love for sports and is constantly looking for new, fun ways to stay active. Her favorite activities include swimming, volleyball, and snowboarding. She wants to be an example to her fellow medical students and future patients by showing that daily exercise will prove to be extremely beneficial for the mind, body, and soul.
Maddie is a second year medical student at LSUHSC School of Medicine in New Orleans, LA. Though New Orleans born & raised, Maddie attended the University of Miami to receive her B.S. in Biology. Outside of her studies, Maddie has a love for fitness and wellness. She began dancing as a child and continued throughout high school and college where she became a captain of the University of Miami Hurricanettes Dance Team. Outside of dance, Maddie ran cross country and track as well as swam and played soccer. Now, Maddie is a certified yoga teacher and continues to teach classes at a local yoga studio. She views daily movement as a necessary form of self-care including anything from weight lifting to yoga. Her mission is to prove that exercise and nutrition are the most fundamental forms of medicine and should be at the forefront of our care for not only our future patients, but for ourselves as healthcare providers.
Keenan is a second-year medical student at LSUHSC School of Medicine in New Orleans. He graduated from Louisiana State University with a B.S. in Kinesiology, where he developed a passion for exercise physiology and engaging with his community through physical activity. With a background in long-distance running, he has competed in Olympic distance and Ironman 70.3 triathlons. He currently enjoys weightlifting, HIIT, and hiking the great outdoors, and hopes to encourage his family, friends, and patients to find their passion for exercise.
Kolby is a second-year medical student at LSUHSC New Orleans School of Medicine. He earned a B.S. in chemistry from Louisiana Tech University, where he also served as a tutor, laboratory teacher’s assistant, and research team member. With a passion for physical fitness, Kolby spends his study breaks biking the levee, throwing frisbee, or at the campus gym. On a free weekend, you can catch him deep sea fishing in Grande Isle, Louisiana or tailgating for an LSU football game with his family.
