Carson Nizialek
Hey everyone! My name is Carson Nizialek, and I am a third year medical student at Georgetown University School of Medicine. Originally from Chantilly, VA, I have always led a very active life. I received my BS in Biology from Georgetown University in 2020, where I was also a member of the Varsity Women’s Soccer team. My experiences through sports have taught me valuable skills and shaped me into the person I am today. Since my retirement from college athletics, my passion for physical fitness and community building through shared experiences has only continued. I am so excited to be a part of this Medicine in Motion family and promote physician well-being by doing the things I love most!
Chloe Verwiel
I am a third-year medical student at Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. Prior to GUSOM, I received my undergraduate degree at Georgetown, where I played on their Division 1 field hockey team all four years. I enjoy exercising because I believe it’s a great way to get outdoors, be social, and stay active during medical school. I am excited to be a part of Motion in Medicine to connect with other medical students through exercise.
Molly Fitzpatrick
Hi everyone! My name is Molly Fitzpatrick, and I am a rising 4th year medical student at Georgetown. I am from New Hampshire and grew up playing as many sports as I could until I landed on swimming. I went to Georgetown for undergrad, where I was a member of the Women’s Swimming and Diving Team for all four years. For me, staying active has always been an incredible source of self-care, stress relief, and a space to reset. More importantly, it has allowed me to be a part of a community that I love, and I’m excited to bring that same sense of teamwork, community, and fitness to Georgetown through Medicine in Motion!
Sarah Cheney
Hi! My name is Sarah Cheney and I am a rising 4th year medical student at Georgetown University. I grew up in Albany, NY playing soccer, lacrosse, and skiing in the winter. I first moved to DC for my undergrad at Georgetown where I was the captain of the women’s lacrosse team. After graduation/retirement from lacrosse, I transitioned to other forms of fitness - running outside, workout classes, and most recently have become Peloton fanatic. As an athlete, I’ve always loved the way activity and fitness can generate camaraderie and community and am so excited to bring that to Georgetown SoM!
