Brianna Edgar
Brianna, a first-year medical student at The CUNY School of Medicine, hails from New York City. She has a lifelong passion for competing in sports such as basketball, cross country, track, and rowing, and now regularly engages in activities such as weightlifting, running, and yoga. Brianna firmly believes in the physical and mental benefits of regular exercise and is excited to bring the medical community together through fitness and philanthropy.
Chisom Madu
Chisom is a second-year medical student at the CUNY School of Medicine in NYC. He was born in Queens and grew up in Suffolk County, Long Island, where he first started running as a member of his middle school’s cross country team. Chisom attended the City College of New York, earning his undergraduate degree while majoring in biomedical science. He continues to run recreationally at a local outdoor track and hopes to eventually train to run a full marathon. Chisom is excited to work toward achieving his health goals within a community of other medical students by bringing Medicine in Motion to CUNY.
Chizuruoke Onuoha
Chi-Chi is a first-year medical student at the CUNY School of Medicine, with a passion for
running. Born in Nigeria, Chizuruoke relocated to the United States at a young age, and her journey through sports has been diverse, ranging from taekwondo to volleyball. However, it was Track and Field that captured her heart. During high school, she actively participated in Cross
Country and both winter and spring Track and Field, primarily as a long-distance runner. Since embarking on her BS/MD program, Chi-Chi continues to enjoy running recreationally and aspires to one day conquer the NYC marathon. Currently, she finds joy in regular group runs with her peers.
Uche Ugbor
Uche is a first year medical student at the CUNY School of Medicine. She was born in Brooklyn, grew up in Queens, but eventually moved to Long Island to complete her high school education. It was in Long Island at Valley Stream South High School that she developed an interest in running. She joined the track team and ran in the winter and spring seasons as a sprinter and enjoys the 200 meter race popularly ran in the spring. Together with her fellow club officers and
members, she looks forward to supporting a vibrant running community and ensuring that our club continues to thrive.
