Officers: Madeleine Salesky, Matthew Orringer
Madeleine is a second year medical student at UCSF School of Medicine. She grew up in San Rafael, CA before attending Brown University and competing on the Brown women’s varsity swim team. She graduated in 2019 with a degree in Health and Human Biology before coming to UCSF. Madeleine is currently working on clinical research projects in orthopedic surgery and head and neck surgery. Being active is a huge part of Madeleine’s life. Her current favorites include yoga, high intensity interval training, weightlifting, and functional strength training. She is excited to work in a role that combines her passions for fitness, medicine, and community engagement.
Matt is a second year medical student at UCSF School of Medicine. He’s currently working on research projects in orthopedic surgery and plastic surgery and is excited about his summer project analyzing injuries in the NBA. Matt grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan and swam at Brown University, serving as a team captain his senior year. Since finishing his swimming career, Matt has enjoyed working on his golf game and has continued to be active with daily CrossFit-style workouts. He is so excited to create a community at UCSF where students and faculty can work together on their fitness goals while engaging in philanthropic efforts.
